Parish Council
Sts. Constantine and Helen Parish Council manages the facilities and business operations of the church through the clergy and administrative staff. The Parish Council is a board comprised of elected and appointed members who serve a three-year term representing and guiding the operational and financial aspects of the church. The board acts as a steward to the church and follows the Antiochian Archdiocese bylaws and constitution in managing the parish. Elections are held each year during the annual assembly, in which board members and ministry chairs present the work accomplished during the year. The board meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month at Sts. Constantine and Helen Orthodox church.

Sunday Camp
From Pre-School through 12th Grade, Sunday School follows communion, teaching our children about our faith, sacraments, icons, saints, and teachings of the Church. Our teachers provide instruction to our youth led by our Sunday School Director, Bill Bradley. The Sunday School program during the Fall of 2022 is fully in person and more information can be found here.

Teen SOYO
Teen SOYO is organized for our teens (ages 13-18) to worship, witness, serve, learn, and have fun in a safe, hospitable, Orthodox Christian environment for their own spiritual development. Their activities include Bible studies, service/volunteer projects, the annual DOWAMA National Bible Bowl Championship, the annual Basketball Tournament in Oklahoma City, and attending Camp St. Raphael in the summer as well as in the winter.
Teen SOYO provides its teens the opportunity to fully emerge themselves into the life of the Church. Through regular meetings, events, retreats both locally as well as within DOWAMA SOYO (Diocese of Wichita and Mid America) and the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America, teens participate in learning more about the Faith, canons and worship to learn more about the Ancient Faith of the Holy Orthodox Church.
Check out the events planned for the upcoming months for Teen SOYO in the Calendar. For the teens of Sts. Constantine and Helen looking for information on the Bible Bowl, OCF, Creative Arts, and Summer camps, you can find more information at the links below:

Women of St. Helen
The Women of St. Helen is a self-sufficient, active group of women belonging to Sts. Constantine and Helen Church that strive to help those in our church and community. Over the past number of years, we have consistently supported the various projects set forth by the Metropolitan, supported a child in Lebanon, and provided Medical City Plano various items (knit lap blankets, chemo caps, baby burial kimonos, and sewn pillowcases) as an ongoing community outreach project. In addition, we have conducted food drives, collected Christmas Angel Tree gifts, helped with the Summer Sack Hunger program, and collected back to school supplies, all for the benefit of Metrocrest Services, an organization focused on charitable work in our community. The WSH also have served Thanksgiving Dinners to firemen and their families at Fire Station 6 which is close to our church. We have put on luncheons, dinners, a fashion show, had retreats, raffles, and sold various items, all while enjoying the company of the many friends we have made at Sts. Constantine and Helen.
Chair: Jean Faour Baker
The Men of St. Constantine
The Men of St. Constantine are men who work together to serve the church through charitable outreach, educational and services projects. We encourage each other to follow Christ in becoming the husbands and fathers we are meant to be, and develop a fellowship of Orthodox Christian servants. Our men’s ministry involves a variety of activities including charitable fundraisers such as the annual Sts. Constantine and Helen Golf Tournament. The Men of St. Constantine support the Church through funding and completing a variety of projects to maintain and enhance the building and grounds of our church.
Chair: Dr. Greg Cohlmia

The St. Nicholas Ministry
The St. Nicholas Ministry is humbly grateful for all our parishioners, our friends, and our community for their contributions to this Ministry. You are all a vital part of our ministry in helping those who are facing life’s hardships. Your compassion has given others hope.
The St. Nicholas Ministry began almost 20 years ago with donations given in memory of Mamdouh Maso, a devoted member of Saints Constantine & Helen Orthodox Church. To perpetuate their father’s memory, his family established a fund of generosity and love to support the special needs of our parishioners, other organizations and the community. Since inception, the fund continues to grow from financial gifts made from the Maso family and many other generous donors.
The Ministry has assisted individuals who reflect all economic, social, and religious backgrounds. There is no set profile for awarding a grant. A valid need is paramount. Even though the Ministry has been part of our church for 20 years, in just the last six years the St. Nicholas Ministry has provided approximately $62,000 in aid to our church parishioners and approximately $38,000 to non-parishioners from our community. Since March 15th and the Covid-19 pandemic, the St. Nicholas Ministry has been instrumental in assisting people with rent, food, electricity and other life necessities for a total of $8,891.
Ministry Chair: Raed Maso
Outreach
You can click on the link above to see a full list of our church’s ministry groups. Most of these groups have ongoing projects focused on good works that bring Christian service to the surrounding communities. The Outreach Committee seeks to identify unmet needs in our community and find ways that our parish members can become personally involved in meeting them. We invite your suggestions.
Ministry Chair: Father Gregory Farman
Facilities
The Facilities Ministry at Sts. Constantine and Helen is tasked with maintaining the church infrastructure and overall site. Our purpose is to ensure that all utilities, grounds and facilities are in good functioning condition and to address any repairs, site improvements or related needs that may arise. Areas of responsibility include oversight of the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, landscaping, fire and security systems in use on the property. This Ministry is critical to ensuring the overall health of the property which is the very foundation of the living church of Sts. Constantine and Helen.
Parish Council Chairman:
Stewardship
The Stewardship Ministry is charged with reaching our pledge goals and inspiring parishioners both young and adult members to support the operational and financial commitments of Sts. Constantine and Helen. Parishioners are a vital part of keeping the church financially sound while also giving of their time and talents to minister within different organizations. Each year, the committee oversees the teachings of giving to the church and community. Additionally, the Steward Ministry oversees the St. Matthew Fund which provides for legacy funds earmarked in family estates to benefit Sts. Constantine and Helen.
Ministry Chair: Gordon Huseth
Fellowship
At Sts. Constantine and Helen Orthodox Church, the Fellowship Ministry is responsible for bringing the parishioners together in order to maintain and build connections with one another. Throughout the year, we plan large and small events both at the church and at different venues. By fostering these relationships, we create a tight-knit community where our parishioners and clergy get to fully know each other, and our younger generations remain close to the church through these bonds that they establish over the years.
Fellowship Ministry Chair: George Karam
St. Matthew Legacy Fund
The St. Matthew Legacy Fund is a group of individuals who have bestowed assets to Sts. Constantine and Helen through their estate plans. This commitment may be a simple bequest, a life insurance policy, stocks, IRA or similar retirement savings vehicle including a gift annuity or any other contribution that will benefit Sts. Constantine and Helen following the passing of one’s life.
A planned and thoughtful gift to the church provides a strong foundation for the physical, spiritual and future growth of the church. This ministry welcomes the generosity from loved ones in which the investment in the church will live on and provide stability for the next generations and assure continuation of stewardship and helping the community.
Ministry Chair: Dian Kauth
Choir
This sacred ministry of the Church is essential to the beauty of our divine services. On Sunday mornings and special feast days, our beautiful services are filled with the hymns sung by Sts. Constantine and Helen choir – often a person’s first experience in absorbing our spiritual music sung. Sts. Constantine and Helen extends an invitation to all individuals who wish to glorify God through chant and singing the hymns of the church.
Ministry Chair: Melinda Bentz
